ADRIAN BELEW
“The 1981 through 1984 King Crimson created a music all its own. Timeless. Beautiful. Complex. Fierce. For the fans who lived through it then, and the ones who never got to witness it, our aim is to bring it to life again. A monumental task but we’re going for it! There are not enough exclamation points to express my excitement!”
Adrian Belew is an inventive guitarist, vocalist, and sonic explorer whose career spans more than four decades across progressive rock, pop, and experimental music. Renowned for his expressive effects and genre-defying creativity, Belew first gained recognition touring with Frank Zappa and David Bowie before becoming a defining force in King Crimson, fronting the band from 1981 through 2009.
His collaborations read like a who's who of rock royalty — Paul Simon's Graceland, Talking Heads' Remain in Light, Nine Inch Nails' The Downward Spiral, and co-writing Tom Tom Club's "Genius of Love," famously sampled by Mariah Carey on "Fantasy."
As a solo artist with over 20 albums, Belew continues to push boundaries — most recently with his 2024 release A Toe in the Ocean.
In 2024, he joined forces with Tony Levin, Steve Vai, and Danny Carey (Tool) to form BEAT, a supergroup dedicated to performing the iconic 1980s music of King Crimson — Discipline, Beat, and Three of a Perfect Pair — for audiences worldwide.
STEVE VAI
“Being a part of this ensemble is an extraordinary privilege and opportunity to perform some of the most beloved, timeless, and monumental music of the 80’s (and beyond) with truly inspired musicians. This music resonates deeply with me.”
Steve Vai is a virtuoso guitarist, visionary composer, and consummate producer whose unclassifiable musical vision has captivated fans across genres for more than three decades. Beginning his career transcribing and performing for Frank Zappa at 18, Vai went on to tour with David Lee Roth and Whitesnake before establishing himself as one of the most celebrated solo artists in guitar history.
A three-time GRAMMY Award winner with over 15 million albums sold, his accolades include the prestigious Les Paul Award, honorary doctorates from Berklee and Musicians Institute, and induction into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame. He also designed the Ibanez JEM — one of the most iconic signature guitars ever made.
With a discography spanning more than 60 albums and a reputation for pushing every boundary the instrument offers, Vai remains one of music's true originals.
In 2024, he joined BEAT — alongside Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, and Danny Carey (Tool) — to perform the iconic 1980s music of King Crimson for audiences worldwide.
TONY LEVIN
“This is going to be quite a tour. Revisiting some of my favorite music is a treat in itself, but in company of this stellar lineup, I expect to have my musical butt kicked! And it’s also great that we’re not just playing a few shows, we’re hitting it hard. So, Road Dogs are coming to your area soon.”
Tony Levin is a world-renowned bassist, Chapman Stick player, composer, and photographer whose groundbreaking musicianship has shaped progressive rock, pop, and jazz for more than five decades.
A cornerstone of King Crimson since 1981 and an original member of Peter Gabriel's solo band, Tony is celebrated for his revolutionary use of the Chapman Stick and his signature "Funk Fingers" technique. His session credits span John Lennon, Pink Floyd, Paul Simon, David Bowie, James Taylor, Stick Men, and dozens more.
Beyond his prolific touring and recording career, Tony leads a rich solo life — most recently with his 2024 release Bringing It Down to the Bass — and co-leads the acclaimed jazz duo The Levin Brothers with his brother Pete. He is also an accomplished photographer whose work spans three published books and one of the longest-running music blogs on the internet, Road Diary.
In 2024, Tony joined BEAT — an all-star group with Adrian Belew, Steve Vai, and Danny Carey (Tool) — performing the iconic 1980s music of King Crimson for audiences worldwide.
DANNY CAREY
“I am very excited to share the stage with three of my favorite musicians on the planet. Tony, Steve and Adrian have always been a source of inspiration for me since the beginning of my career, and now to be able to share a bit of my musical journey with them is a dream come true. There’s nothing better to make some sparks fly and light a fire under your ass than getting out of your musical comfort zone, and I can’t think of any other three guys I’d rather do this with. I think I can speak for all of us when I say I hope all of our fans are as excited as we are about this tour.”
Danny Carey is one of the most technically formidable and musically inventive drummers of his generation — best known as the powerhouse behind Tool, one of rock's most critically acclaimed and enduring bands.
Rooted in jazz and shaped by studies in geometry, polyrhythm, and world percussion, Carey's approach to the kit is unlike anyone else in rock music. His mastery of odd time signatures, polymeters, and tabla technique has made him a defining figure not just in progressive metal, but across the wider landscape of adventurous music.
Ranked among Rolling Stone's 100 Greatest Drummers of All Time, his session and collaborative credits include Carole King, Skinny Puppy, Jeff Buckley, and the Melvins, among many others.
In 2024, he joined BEAT — alongside Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, and Steve Vai — to perform the iconic 1980s music of King Crimson for audiences worldwide.
